1. Dreams and Symbols as Guides to Our Health (Kit DeVries, Ph.D.) - Our bodies are God’s temple. We are asked by God to take good care of them.  A strong belief is that dreams come from God; however, the language is symbolic.  Getting in touch with them and interpreting the symbolic language leads to a healthier, happier, more fulfilled life.

2. Deeper Listening (Nancy Brown) - This introduction to a Listening Circle process is drawn from the Restorative Circles movement. We will use a Listening Circle to practice speaking from our hearts by sharing our perspective of a current event topic and practicing deep-caring listening with our hearts to others in the circle, even if we disagree with their perspective.  The goal is to practice a deep-listening process in a safe, non-charged environment to make a Circle Process an accessible tool when we must address difficult issues.  This is one in a series of opportunities South Church is providing on the theme -  "Called to Deeper Waters - Deeper Listening." This will be a double session.

3. Exploring the Impact of Community On Our Lives with Visio Divina (Rev. Kris Bowen & Rev. Michelle DeCoste) - Visio Divina is a prayer practice that invites the participants into "divine seeing" through images and reflection.  While being held in community, the participants will reflect on the theme of the day and then create an individual collage. The group will explore together what they have discovered about the hopes for community and its meaning in their lives. Our hope is that each person will find a new opportunity for their place in the communities of which they are a part. This will be a double session.

4. You Belong!   Being a Part of a Community That Feeds Your Soul  (Rev. Gayle Murphy)  - This is an introduction of the themes which the Women’s Retreat will explore in April.   We will look at what community means, the blessings of community, and why it is so hard to find.

5. Zentangle (CZT Certified Instructors Fran Irvine & Rev. Emily Geohegan) - Zentangle is an easy-to-learn meditative art form.  This workshop will provide an introduction to this relaxing and fun way to create beautiful images by drawing structured patterns.  You will be given basic instruction so that you may continue creating on your own.  Those who have received basic instruction in the past are also welcome. This will be a double session.

6.  Hands-On Handbells  (Carlene Ruesenberg) If you have enjoyed listening to and watching South Church’s handbell choir, here’s a chance to try the handbells yourself!  No music background or training is necessary, just a willingness to move around and have some fun.

7. Gentle Yoga (Laura Knoy) – an introduction for women with limited mobility and/or no yoga experience.  Please wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothes. Chairs will be provided; mats are not necessary.

8. Exploring Yoga (Laura Knoy) – a more active session than the Gentle Yoga class, this is for women with any level of yoga experience who can easily move from the floor to standing.  Please wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothes and bring a mat if you have one.

9. A Journey to Find and Connect with Christ's infinite Love and Energy (Lynne Bloomquist, Certified Hypnotist and Stress Reduction Specialist) -- Prayer, meditation and reflection bring us closer to Christ. He also willingly shares His Abundant Energy with those who learn where it hides in plain sight. This guided imagery will show you some of the many ways Christ makes His Energy and Love available to us.
