Racial Justice & Antiracism Resources

The murder of George Floyd in early June was a tipping point in the 400-year struggle of African Americans to break free from white oppression, racism and institutionalized violence against black bodies. People the world over have protested in the streets, and a time of systemic change is upon us.
This fall, South Church will offer opportunities to read and discuss a few seminal books on anti-racism. We will begin in September by discussing How to be an Antiracist by Ibram X. Kendi. Until then, we share with you the following resources:
-
Faith and Justice Cafe (a virtual exchange where we can share ideas, inspiration, experiences, reflections, photos and videos pertaining to racial justice.)
-
Ibram X. Kendi's Reading List
-
Gibson's Antiracist Book Recommendations
-
A Letter from Aleta Payne to My White Sisters in Christ
-
